THE FOOD

KANGAROO ISLAND OLIVES

The Esposito Family Olive Grove began its journey in the early 90’s. The first olive tree was planted by Zio Giuseppe (Uncle Joe) in a small paddock surrounded by native vegetation, 400 meters from the Nepean Bay waterfront.

The Red 2017 is made from 100% elegant cool-climate Shiraz. One the nose there’s notes of pepper, eucalyptus, toasted vanilla. On the palatte it’s seriously tasty with flavours in the mulberry and red fruit spectrum, a hint of charry oak and slightly gamey notes working beautifully with the fleshy fruit. It has a generous round mouthfeel leading to a lingering finish.

The White – Islander estate

Contemporary Australian in style, made to demonstrate the elegant varietal character. Slightly toasty with flavours of peach, nectarine, melon and toasted nuts. The fruit sweetness is offset by steely, refreshing acidity and a long finish. This is a wine for all occasions.

    5 star ratingMagnificent Went to Bella with my wife. We booked a table fo 7pm. Good that we did as was full. I had the tenderloin steak with a mushroom rissoto. The steak was perfectly cooed medium rare and beautifully tender and the rissoto perfect as well. The wife had the chicken kiev. It was also delicious. All with great friendly service and a smile. I highly recommend eating here if in kingscote for the night.

  • 5 star ratingExcellent Food We were staying at the Seaside Inn, but their dining room was closed for a tour group so we drove into town. It was a few minutes before 6 and their dining room opened at six so we made a reservation. It was a good thing we did as the facility is small and it filled up shortly after we got there. The food was excellent. the service was a little slow as there was only one waitress, but she was very pleasant and did her best to accommodate everyone. I would definitely recommend the restaurant.

    5 star ratingGreat pizzas and friendly staff Very nice pizzas and opportunity to dine in their restaurant, outside in the cafe style enclosure or just get takeaway. We chose to dine outside, staff were friendly and our order was presented in a timely manner as per any other pizza establishments. It's not fine dining but after a day of exploring KI, the meal and drinks were just the thing.

The staff were friendly and helpful and the food arrived promptly and was well presented. In particular my chicken and haloumi salad and beef cheek ragu were very good.
